This week at Cupertino Little Stars, we are celebrating Diwali in honor of the most recent student to join our class. He now has added yellow to his color pallette. We are continuing nursery rhymes, music, reading & painting, and the introduction of new colors.

The preschoolers are reading book number nine at the moment and drawing & writing about letter jJ objects.  Today they drew colorful jars filled with whatever objects they liked (jelly beans as one example.) They are continuing on the number eight in math, as well as number and letter dot-to-dots.

Our oldest Pre-K child has now read 411 books and is doing her first grade level math. She is nearing the end of her current set of dot-to-dots, now going from #1 - #305. Her reading comprehension and vocabulary are excellent and she is working toward her 420 book reading prize! We will keep on going as long as she continues to be so enthusiastic. With children this age it is especially important to keep it fun!
